UBC CAPACity – Transportation Justice

March 24, 2021

UBC CAPACity is a student-led initiative that aims to bring together undergraduate students interested in city planning and its various branches. The club strives to serve as a gateway for people to seek and find opportunities in the field, share knowledge around urban issues locally and globally, and build networks.

CAN (LET’S) participated on a panel about sustainable and equitable urban mobility hosted by CAPACity UBC.

UBC CAPACity hosted a conversation around transportation justice in which they raised questions of uneven access to places and forms of movement, the politics of mobility, and ways in which urban planning discourses legitimize and normalize uneven mobility. The discourse sought to discuss how mobility can be better integrated and structured to help reach livability and sustainability goals for all walks of life.
