Interns – 180 Degrees Consulting

January 5, 2022

CAN (LET’S) was contacted by a representative of 180 Degrees Consulting (180DC), the world’s largest university based consultancy. 180 Degrees Consulting provides socially conscious organizations around the world with very high quality, extremely affordable consulting services. Their student consultants are highly qualified and go through a rigorous process to become a part of 180DC.

The 180DC UBC team will conduct a comprehensive analysis of CAN’s (LET’S) current marketing funnel to increase awareness of their courses. They will review CAN’s (LET’S) current marketing efforts, including an evaluation of social media platforms in terms of engagement, campaign efforts, and other KPI’s necessary for evaluation. They will help to identify potential partners for CAN (LET’S) to increase engagement and awareness. Additionally, they will provide CAN (LET’S) a benchmark against which we can measure our own growth.

CAN’s (LET’S) team is composed of five consultants and one project manager. They are supported by a mentor working in industry.

Our team met in February. The students began to get familiarized with CAN’s (LET’S) work and current operating practices. They had several opportunities to ask Executive Director Heather McCain questions about our workshops and how we find clients and hold public workshops. In March, they will finalize the project’s scope. There will be monthly check-ins with the 180DC team.

CAN (LET’S) has had intern students from UBC for four years. This is our first year working with 180DC. We are excited to learn from the students and hear how we can improve our organization’s practices and outreach.
