In February, CAN (LET’S) facilitated an Accessible Facilitation workshop for Bakau’s Facilitation Certification Program.
We have presented this workshop with Bakau in the past and will again in the future. We are proud to be a part of Bakau’s program. We especially appreciate how receptive and engaged their audiences are.
In Bakau’s words: “Facilitation is a coveted skill. It combines strategy with emotional intelligence to navigate collaborative settings in the workplace and beyond. A skilled facilitator guides teams through intentional and effective processes to achieve goals with purpose. They engage groups in productive dialogue, creatively problem solve, and foster shared understanding.
Bakau’s Facilitation Program description:
“Our Facilitation Certificate Program (FCP) is a 3-month guided, content- rich program. This online program teaches essential skills and strategies for powerful, inclusive facilitation. The FCP begins by strengthening fundamentals of anti-oppression, equity, inclusion and intersectionality.
- It then evolves to skills-based training including:
- Active listening and inclusive communication
- Cultivating safer spaces
- Activating meaningful dialogue
- Developing workshops and agendas
- Navigating group dynamics and conflict resolution
- And so much more!
We ground this program with an anti-oppressive lens to ensure facilitative leadership from a foundation of deep equity and inclusion.”
