The 1st 2 sessions of the United Way British Columbia 2025 Leadership Fellows cohort occurred. Heather McCain, Founder-Executive Director of Live Educate Transform Society, has been chosen as 1 of the 10 Executive Directors from around BC to go through the program.
Leadership Fellows provides non-formal, graduate-level training through a highly collaborative experience for senior leaders in the non-profit sector. Participants are guided through seven full day, monthly, sessions that are set to engage them in a series of key ideas about developmental leadership. The curriculum is accompanied by interaction, reflection, and guided application for current and future opportunities to develop leaders.
This program enables leaders to build leadership capacity within themselves and others. Heather is keen to learn and increase skills in their role as Executive Director of Live Educate Transform Society (LET’S). The organization has been expanding rapidly and Heather has a lot of room to grow within the role. This year alone has been filled with learning, a few missteps, and growth opportunities.
The Leadership Fellows is hosted by Steve Patty, a teacher, consultant, author, and conference speaker. He leads Dialogues in Action, a consulting firm dedicated to helping people and organizations evaluate their impact, multiply their influence through leadership, and design strategies to make progress on their mission.
