This is our 2nd workshop was in-person, for staff from the Human Resource Services. This workshop is very similar to the above workshop, a combination of our workshops Disability Awareness and Neurodiversity at Work. However, within this workshop, we have the City of Vancouver provided examples that participants discuss in breakout groups. Examples that have come directly from the experience of City staff.
The addition of these examples allows for a fuller exploration of how to turn the principles from the workshop into achievable action in the workplace. The examples have nuances that can be perceived and experienced differently. The discussions are fulsome and thoughtful.
LET’S will continue to work with the City of Vancouver to create impactful, practical workshops that not only teach about the ideal but also implement achievable practices and models that can be started right away.
