2SLGBTQIA+ Canada History

Join us in this interactive workshop as we explore moments and stories of from the rich tapestry of Canada’s 2SLGBTQIA+ history (Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual/Agender, plus).

Learning Canada’s 2SLGBTQIA+ history helps to combat erasure, increase awareness and knowledge of the broad spectrum that is gender and sexuality, and celebrate the many brave people who came before us and those who continue to fight for our rights.

The workshop covers changing laws and attitudes, milestones, provincial and country firsts, and the stories of amazing advocates and change-makers. We will discuss how many marginalized voices have been left out of conversations and historical narratives. Our workshop will recognize and celebrate the important, interconnected communities fought for their (and our) rights.

LET’S’ 2SLGBTQIA+ workshops are created, researched and facilitated by 2SLGBTQIA+ people.

Our lived expertise is vital to properly representing gender and sexuality identities.

Workshops can be customized and tailored in length.
